Funded Education Programme 24-25

Through a diverse range of topics, the funded education programme in palliative and end of life care aims to support those working in health and care across Sussex to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver high quality care to patients and those who are important to them.

The demand for palliative and end of life care (PEoLC) services across the Sussex population is rising and the Sussex PEoLC Education Collaborative, hosted by the Sussex Hospice Collaborative, aims to ensure that our health and social care workforce has the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver this important care to patients and their loved ones.

This is a development year in which a new way of partnership-working to provide PEoLC education and training for the health and social care workforce in Sussex will be piloted. Although the providers of the current programme are based in West Sussex, those working in Brighton & Hove and East Sussex are very welcome to attend the courses that are on offer and all sessions (face to face and online) are available to anyone to access regardless of their location in Sussex. Face to face sessions in Brighton & Hove and East Sussex will be added to this programme as soon as they become available.

All courses are fully funded by NHS Sussex (unless specified otherwise below) and are open to all Sussex employees in health and social care.
